The Christian Life

Prayer:

Father, help us to walk in your way.

For the past few months we've looked at what Jesus taught. How we have to put it into practice. Just believing isn't enough, we have to do what the Bible says.

The Bible forms the plan or blueprint for our life. Faith in Jesus becomes our foundation. But it is up to us how we build our lives. (Paul uses this analogy in 1 Corinthians 3:9-16)

So what do we have to do?

Jesus gave very few 'commandments', but the ones he did give are essential. These include;

• love God, and love your neighbour
  love isn't something that is only inside us, it has to be demonstrated. How do we show our love for others? We should do the same for God
• be baptised
  we covered this last time
• remember Jesus
  Jesus said that we should remember him by partaking of the bread and wine as symbols of his death and resurrection.
• preach to others and tell them the Gospel (good news)

It's up to us if we decide to follow a Christian life.
